It was important for me to find a spot on the island where there were ideal conditions for growing wine and I wanted to live far away from the tourists. In Llucmajor, in the southern part of the island, I had found an undeveloped piece of land which ideally fulfilled these requirements.
The plantation was started in 2009. The first hectare was planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and later a half hectare of Chardonnay. In 2010 I started building the house with an attached bodega.
In 2012 some rows of a southern Italian grape variety from my father’s homeland were planted: Aglianico.
From harvesting to storage, the wine is aged and bottled on site. In 2013, the annual production of wine amounted to 7,500 bottles and this is expected to increase to 10,000 bottles in the future. My wine is sold exclusively through the members of the Club de vino 953 as well as selected restaurants from the top gastronomy on Mallorca and exclusively through Rebenreich in Germany.
